ALUMNI UPDATE
The Post 280 Smith Junior Legion baseball team won its 3rd
consecutive District 2 Championship and once again
participated in the American Legion State Tournament.  The team
won 2 games in the State Tournament to finish 3rd in the entire
state of Virginia.  The team stormed through the District
Tournament, going 3-0 and outscoring opponents 35 to 1.
Due to a large number of JV-aged young men
interested in playing Fall baseball, there has been a
selection process made to trim the roster size.
However, regardless if a young man is not placed on
the fall roster, he will be strongly encouraged to join
us for our off-season conditioning program which will
begin in December and run through February.
