The summer of 2015 will always be remembered as the
boys of Post 280 Chesapeake (comprised of 14 Oscar
Smith, 1 Indian River, & 1 Greenbrier Christian varsity
baseball players) won not only their district
championship for the 4th straight season, but the
American Legion 17u Virginia State Title!

LEGION STATE CHAMPIONS!
MORGAN COMMITS TO NSU!
Tyler Morgan (class of 2016), has committed to continue his
baseball career at Norfolk State University! Tyler will be just the
2nd Oscar Smith baseball player to pitch at the Division I level
since Anthony Shawler did so for Old Dominion University in
2008. (

GRAWEY COMMITS TO APPRENTICE!
Mitchell Grawey (class of 2015), has committed to continue his
baseball career at The Apprentice School! The Builders' baseball
program is coming off of a 2015 season where they were
crowned the United States Collegiate Athletic Association
(USCAA) Small College World Series Champions! Grawey is
slated to play outfield. (

Thomas Packert (class of 2015), has committed to continue his
baseball career at Christopher Newport University! The Captains'
baseball program is coming off its 8th consecutive winning
season. Packert will enter the program as both an infielder and
pitcher. (
