ALUMNI UPDATE
The Post 280 Smith Junior Legion baseball team won its 2nd
consecutive District 3 Championship and participated in the
American Legion State Tournament, finishing in the top 6 teams
in Virginia with a 20-3 final record.  The guys put on a show of
true teamwork and passion, representing their school, and their
city, in a manner respected by all who watched them play this
summer. A special thanks goes out to two young men from
Indian River High (Kasiski & Klaus) who played big roles in one
of the best summers in Post 280 Junior Legion baseball history.
The Varsity & JV coaches were just informed late
last night of significant schedule adjustments that had
been made.
One of those adjustments has us playing
Nansemond River on this MONDAY, NOT Tuesday!
